Welcome!
Hello everyone! This will be the website for our new frozen foods cooking exchange. Let me explain how it will work.
1. A date and time will be chosen for the exchange, and a post will go up announcing it. If you want to be included in that month's exchange you RSVP by commenting on that post, something to the effect of "I'm in." Please RSVP a week before the exchange date so we all have the time to prepare the right amount of food. The plan is to do this monthly.
3. Each of us bring our frozen meals to the exchange (they don't have to already be frozen, but they do need to be in frozen-ready containers). You come with five portions of the same meal and leave with five different meals (yours plus four new ones).
4. Each of us will have admin access to this site and should post preparation instructions plus the recipes for your meal. I recommend tagging your post with your name plus the main ingredients so we all can easily search through past meals. You can also write the preparation instructions and include them with your meal if you wish.
5. All meals should be dairy-free, gluten-free, and soy-free. If there are other limitations we should include, let us know.
When is a good time in the week to do an exchange? Is there an evening that works better for everyone? Add your thoughts in the comments.
Thanks!
2. You then make multiples of the same meal to cover the number of people who RSVP'ed. Each frozen meal should have four servings (I'm open to it being less if you all prefer.) So if five people RSVP'ed, you would make five meals of four servings each.
